Xerxes Malki - Visiting Scholar

Xerxes Malki took his BA from Pomona College with highest honors.  He was a Marshall Scholar and a Karim Rida Said Fellow at the University of Oxford, where he completed a MPhil and a doctorate.  He also was the Ioma Evans Pritchard Research Scholar in African Studies at St. Anne's College, University of Oxford.  His research interests include the study of 20th-century African diasporic and migrant communities, and in particular the issue of emigrant returnism to Africa, as well as African relations with the Arab and Middle Eastern areas.
